Singer/Songwriter from New York City . . .

. . . J. Allen . . .

J. Allen

J. ALLEN started his musical career in his home town New York City, the leading center in art worldwide. Here you only can start a career when you do something special. And that's what applies to singer and guitarist J. (what stands for Josh).

Josh was songwriter and founding member of Brooklyn's spacey folk outfit "Meanwhiles". Once you saw J. Allen live you know that he's outstanding.

J. Allen's first album "WONDER CITY"

His first ever solo release, 'Wonder City', was an atmospheric album and sent Allen on his most expansive tour to date including stops at The Reeperbahn Festival, NXNE and Canadian Music Week. His new song "Fall Out Of Love", which you can find on the album "Independent Celebration, Vol.1" (Birdstone Records), marks a turn towards a more traditional American palette, and a renewed collaboration with  Alan Weatherhead (A Camp, Sparklehorse) as mixer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist.
